Tea House

Tea House

Dilmah

This is a tea house which is run by a professional tea master.

It’s located in Yeonhui-dong,
and Yeonhui-dong is just two bus stops away from Hongdae.
There are many famous restaurants, coffee shops, and bars in Yeonhui-dong, too.
Especially, you can see many Chinese restaurants
and international products in supermarkets here,
because there're Seoul International School and a Chinese school in this town.

Very interesting entrance!
Hundreds of tea bag labels on the wall.. They're so colorful!!! :)

Some pictures of the Dilmah School..

And a certificate!!
Wow.. he went to Sri Lanka to take this course..!

You need to come inside here to order your tea.
He must be the owner who is recognized as a professional tea master.

He explains all the teas on the menu, very kindly.

These are flavored fruit teas. They smell so delicious!!

There're so many different teas..
I've never heard of many of these names..

There're a lot of infusion teas, too.

2nd floor..
You can have a tea outside on the terrace in spring, summer, and fall.
It must be so relaxing!!!
And Yeonhui-dong is mostly a residential area, so it's usually quiet around here.

Those orange mitten looking things are the teapot covers. :)
It keeps the teapot warm!!

This is a really quiet and cozy place.
The smell of all the tea leaves calms you down...
and the decorations and interior here make you feel very comfortable.
Plus, it's a great choice for the ones who can't take any caffeine like me!
You have many choices of infusion teas!!! :))

Spicy Noodle (Ramen)

Korean Noodle Restaurant
Teumsae Ramen
(틈새라면)

This is a noodle restaurant which is very well known for
its special spicy noodles.
Some of the noodles are really hot, even hotter than Tteokbokki,
so people usually sweat a lot when they eat these noodles.

If you’re a big fan of spicy foods,
I strongly recommend you this restaurant.
It will be a good chance to test
how spicy your tongue and tummy can accept. :-) ㅋㅋㅋ

All the menus are quite cheap here. :)

The Hongdae branch is very tiny,
so you often can see a queue outside of the restaurant.

However, you don't need to wait a long time,
because this restaurant has a high customer turnover ratio. :)

It usually takes 20 minutes to finish a meal here for me. :)

It's a good idea to order some rice as well..
Otherwise your tummy can be hurt because of the noodles.

And, actually..
many Koreans love to eat rice with the soup (from noodles). :))

These are two different types of noodles.
You can choose mild one, spicy one, or super spicy one. :)

There're normally eggs, bean sprouts, chili peppers, spring onions,
rice cakes, some seaweeds, etc.

It's a milky juice.
You can see this in every spicy foods restaurants in Korea. :)

It seems it relieves the pain in our tongues and tummies
when we have super spicy food... haha.
